1. What is the difference between the 4 and 8 bag system ?

In the 4 bag system you get filtration bags in the micron sizes: 220,160,73,25
In the 8 bag system you get filtration bags in the micron sizes: 220,190,160,120,90,73,45,25

The 5 gallon / 20 litre - 4 bag kit still delivers a high quality final product, just not as pure or graduated as the 8 bag kit. It is a great kit for the person just starting off with Bubble Bags and wants to try them out without spending a lot of money at first. Then once they are impressed with what you get from 4 bags, most people want to move up to our 8 bag kits. You can always then resell your 4 bag to a mate or they are definetly a great gift !

You wont lose any material with the 4 bag system as opposed to our 8 bag system. The difference is in the diversification and quality of the final products.

Essentially the system works like this.

With both systems your 220 micron bag is your main filtration bag, this is the bag that captures all the bulk leaf, which is your garbage after processing and you throw away. Thus both systems remove all of that unwanted matter.

Both system have the 25 micron bag, which is the smallest size filter and thus with both systems you do not lose any of the trichome glands (the part you want) as they are all bigger than 25 micron, thus with both systems only waste water comes out through the 25 micron bag.

The best bag in both systems is the 73 micron bag, as 73 microns is the exact size to capture the full grown, mature, most potent trichome heads. Thus in your 8 bag system, the best quality final product is in the 73 micron bag.

The remaining bags is where the difference of the systems comes in. With the 8 bag system, you have filtration bags that separate all the trichomes and additional waste material into different grades or qualities of your final product.

In the 8 bag system this is basically what your results would be:

  • 220 micron - Large bulky leaf and ice - Usually waste material, but can still be used for cooking, depending on your skills.
  • 190 micron - Mostly plant matter contanimate such as capitate stalks and cystolith hairs, but still some trichomes.
  • 160 micron - Larger essential oil gland heads that are best for vaporising or cooking with.
  • 120 micron - The first truely consumable product from the bags, the larger bulbous gland heads produce a fine profile every time.
  • 90 micron - Seperates out the bigger gland heads from the 73 micron bag, giving more unique profiles and flavours
  • 73 micron - The money bag - gold coloured for a reason - this bag always traps the nicest glands in the batch, extremly pure.
  • 45 micron - Very high in terpenes and terpenoids.
  • 25 micron - The smallest gland heads in the batch, often very strong flavour, smell and taste, this bag is the last but certainly not the least.

In the 4 bag system the 220 will collect allmost all the waste leaf. The 160 will be a mixture of large trichomes and extremly small contaminates. The 73 will be very pure and a mix of your most potent trichomes along with a small bit of waste material and your 25 micron bag will be all the remaining smaller trichomes that the 73 did not catch.

So with the 8 bag you get 7 grades of your final product and with your 3 bag you get 2 grades. However regardless, with either system, you will not lose anything and you will get the maximum yeild of plant matter to final product ratio and your final product will be of an extremly pure and high quality, more so than any other system on the market, regardless if you get a 4 bag or 8 bag kit.

2. Are Bubble Bags legal ?

Bubble Bags are registered with The Harmonised System, which is a global system that classifies and describes products based on various criteria. The Customs Cooperation Council (now the World Customs Organization) created the system in an attempt to harmonise the description of products across countries so as to facilitate international trade.

Bubble Bags have been reviewed and given the harmonise code 8421.290065 which classifies them as mult-task filtration systems. They are intended to be used for the filtration of plant material for food preperation. How Bubble Bags are used is up to the end user, look at FAQ #8 to get some ideas of what can be made with the Bubble Bags. We do not condone the use of Bubble Bags for any illegal activity, nor are we to be held legally or personally responsible for any illegal misuse of the Bubble Bag system.

3. What is the quality of Bubble Bags, how long will they last ?

Bubble Bags are made of the highest quality and strongest materials available.

The bags are made out of heavy duty, industrial strength gortex while the screen is made out of medical grade nylon and the entire system is held togeather using tripple stitched parachute thread, where the fabric is turned inside out and then right side out between each stick, thus insuring and extra strong seam that will not pop a stitch and is watertight and will not leak, unlike other systems, which then contaminates the grades of quality between each of the bags.

Bubble Bags are extremly strong and durable and will withstand hundreds of uses with proper care and use. This alone should be taken into consideration if you are needing to justify the cost of Bubble Bags as opposed to other bag systems on the market.

All most all of the other bag systems on the market are made out of very cheap and flimsy materials that will rip within a few uses and you will then have to buy a new set of the same bags or buy Bubble Bags anyways. So why not save the time and additional money now and get a set of the highest quality bags available. Bubble Bags have been around for 9 years and are the world leading brand in water filtration systems. The Bubble Bag name is a well known brand that stands for quality and durability, which a company history to back it up.

Should something happen to one of your bags, that is not your own fault, such as leaving the bag out and uncleaned so it molds and falls apart or cutting it with a knife. Then simply contact us and explain your what happened and we will arrange to have the faulty bag sent back to us and replace it for a new bag free of charge. If a bag is ruined due to your own fault, we can still replace it, but we will have to charge you for the replacement bag.

All most all of the other bag systems on the market, use fabric screens and not nylon like ours. These fabric screens will rip with use and water weight and because they are fabric, they actually change micron size with temperature change, being wet and from wear and tear, thus they are unable to be of a consistant micron size and insure that the purity of product in each size of bag remains the same for every time you use them..

4. Why are your prices not a direct USD to AUD conversion from the head Bubble Bag website in Canada?

Since this website is an official distributor of the Bubble Bag company, you might assume that the prices should be equivilant to those at our head office in Canada, only with the prices converted into Australian dollars.

For example on the home office webpage www.bubblebag.com, the 5 gallon / 20 litre - 8 bag kit retails for $280 USD, at the current conversion rate of 1.15 that is equivilant to $322 AUD. Yet on this Australian website we are charging $375 AUD for the same kit, thus you may think we are charging more or trying to scam you out of some money.

However if you were to order this kit from the home office in Canada and have it shipped to you by our company which uses UPS (an international guranteed courier) you would pay appx $110 USD ($145 AUD) in shipping fees, which now brings the total cost up to $432 AUD. In addition you may have to pay additional duty tax on it before it would be released by Australian customs. Thus you can see we offer a fair and competetive price and you have the convienance of ordering locally, not having to deal with customs and will recieve your Bubble Bag kit faster and with less of a risk of it being lost in overseas transit.

5. Do you do wholesale ? Are you looking for retailers ?

We offer wholesale prices to individual customers and established retail outlets. For customers without a business license a minimum number of kits is required to be purchased for wholesale prices and may be decided on a case by case basis.

We are very much looking to spread the incredible Bubble Bag system all over Australia and am looking for stores that want to help be a part of this revolution that has already taken over the rest of the world and proven to be a highly succesfull and desired extraction system that is asked for by reputation and name brand. For more information or further inquiries please send email to meerkat@bubblebag.com

It should also be noted that we offer the lowest wholesale price and the highest quality in this industry !

6. Why are Bubble Bags better than other methods, such as butane ?

Bubble Bags are better than any other water filtration bag systems on the market for several reasons:

1. Number of bags - There is not any other bag system on the market that has 8 bags, all the others have only 2 or 3 bags. Thus none of these systems can give you the quality of filtration or diversification of your final product like Bubble Bags can.

If you have never used a Bubble Bag system you may not be personally familiar with just how much of a difference there is between all the different grades of your final product and how much of a difference it makes to have your final product completly filtered of any extranious plant matter.

All most alll other bag systems use fabric cloth for their screens, where as Bubble Bags uses medical grade nylon, this insures a consistant micron size that will not change, unlike other bags and always giving you a product filtered at the proper and optimum levels to achieve purity. Even our 3 bag system makes a higher quality product than any of the other companies 3 bag system for that reason.

2. Quality of materials and construction - Bubble Bags are the highest quality, strongest, most durable water filtration system on the market, there is not any other system that even comes close to Bubble Bags in this area.

We have tested all the other bag sytems out there and all most all of them are made out of extremly flimsy materials that rip and pop stitches after just a few uses. Accept no imitations, many of these systems are marketed as being just as good as Bubble Bags or even use the word "Bubble" in their name, but none of them have the quality materials and construction put into them like Bubble Bags.

3. Organic - Water filtration and extraction is an organic process that does not use chemicals or gases unlike other extraction processes such as butane extraction which is popular for making oil. While it is true that with the butane extraction method you get more of an oil as opposed to the putty like substance you get with Bubble Bags, however it has been scientifically tested that the butane in the oil never fully evaporates and thus when you inhale the oil you are also inhaling butane which is very bad for your health. Also the the butane method is dangerous in that there is always the possiblity for explosion. With water extraction you are making getting a pure, natural final product made with a completly safe and organic process, insuring that your final product is nothing but the plant essence itself with no added smells or flavours from gases and chemicals.

The only other systems that are of better quality would be steam distillation or super-critical c02 extraction, however both methods require extremly complex setups that are not as simple or quick to do as Bubble Bags and both systems are more costly, especially with c02 extraction where such a machine costs at least $20,000 USD. Bubble Bags are the best system available for their price, ease of use, availability and quality for the average person who wants to make essential oils at home.

Reputation - The Bubble Bag company has been around for 10 years, in that time many other brands of bags and people trying to copy cat Bubble Bags have come and gone. Bubbble Bags are sold around the world and are a recognized name brand that stands for quality of materials, quality of construction, durability and depndability and just as important we offer a high quality of customer service and support. I can be contacted via phone or at the email address to the right if you ever have questions about how to use Bubble Bags. Buying from a company with a postive and long history as well as a positive reputation is an important factor, as you don't want to invest money in a system where you might not be able to get help with using it or if the company dissapears and your stuck. Also we treat you like a friend, which is how customers should be treated, rather than just a sale. We always have time for the customer as they are the most important people and why our business exists.

All these reasons are what makes Bubble Bags the most popular oil extraction system on the market. Bubble Bags are known by brand name and sold world wide in Canda, USA, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Japan and now Australia. Accept no immitations!

7. What is included in a Bubble Bag system ?

With each Bubble Bag system you get filtration bags in with the following micron sizes of screens: 220,190,160,120,90,73,45,25 (or just 220,73 and 25 in the 3 bag kit).

Also included is a pressing screens in the 25 micron size, you also recive an attractive and durable cloth carrying carrying case with the official Bubble Bag logo on it.

The only additional equipment you will need is an appropriate sized bucket or container for mixing in, a mixing implement such as a large spoon or preferably an electric cake mixer.

8. What can I make with the Bubble Bag system?

Bubble Bags exract the trichomes (glands containing essential oils) from any plant that contains said oils. You can use these extracted oils for aromatherapy, organic cooking, topical ointments and health suppliments, making your own perfumes, religious use and many others. Essentialy any reason you would buy oils, only now you can make your own, much cheaper from plants you grow in your garden.

Organic health food restaurants and stores use Bubble Bags to make nut milks by taking 1 cup of shelled nuts (hemp, cashews, almonds, walnuts, etc) to 4 cups of water, and mix in a blender for 1 minute. The mixture instantly becomes white and frothy. Then pour the mixture through your 25 micron Bubble Bag so as to strain out all the nut meat and husks. The final product is a rich, tasty drink that is extremly healthy and can be used as a milk substitute.

9. What size Bubble Bag kit should I get ?

Bubble Bags come in three size:
1 gallon / 4 litre
5 gallon / 20 litre
20 gallon / 80 litre

The 1 gallon / 4 litre kit will process 100 grams of leaf material per batch.
This size is recommended for the home user who only needs to process a very small about of leaf on a non regular basis.
For the 1 gallon / 4 litre kit you would need a mixing container that holds appx 4 litres, such as a medium size ice cream containe.

The 5 gallon / 20 litre kit will process 500 grams of leaf material per batch.
The 5 gallon kit is our most popular kit, it is best for both the regular home user and the small to medium business user.
For this size kit you would need a mixing container that holds appx 18 - 20 liters, such as a large plastic paint bucket.

The 20 gallon / 80 litre kit will process 2000 grams of leaf material per batch
This size kit is recommended for the commercial or industrial user or the individual with a very large amount of leaf to process
For this size kit you would need a mixing container that holds appx 75 - 80 literes, such as a 3 metre tall plastic trash can.

Regardles of the size of kit you get the process takes about 1 hour per batch.
Thus what you need to figure out is how much leaf you plan to process on a regular basis, how much time you have to do the processing and what your time is worth.

For example, say that you have 2 kilograms of leaf you want to process.

The 1 gallon / 4 litre kit can process appx 50g per batch, thus it will require 20 batches to process 2kg. Since each batch takes about an hour, that is a total of 20 hours of work.

Using the 5 gallon / 20 litre kit, which does 500g per batch, you will only have to do 4 batches which is 4 hours work.

Using the 20 gallon / 80 litre kit, which does 2kg per batch, you will only have to do 1 batch or 1 hours work.
